Introduction
Welcome to SuperBoring, our innovative Dollar-Cost-Averaging* (DCA) application designed to leverage the power of Superfluid streams. SuperBoring is developed by the Superfluid team on top of the Superfluid Protocol, a cutting-edge protocol pushing the boundaries of money transactions on the blockchain.
In the context of SuperBoring, Dollar-Cost-Averaging (DCA) is an investment strategy where an investor divides up the total amount to be invested across periodic purchases of a target asset. This strategy gives users the best results over time by swapping tokens in continuous real-time streams: stream in your Sell token (called in-Token) and receive back the Buy token (called out-Token) periodically.
What is SuperBoring?
SuperBoring is a new trading app powered by Superfluid. It is designed to provide a more efficient and accessible way to perform Dollar-Cost-Averaging (DCA) by leveraging the power of Superfluid's streaming technology. Under the hood, SuperBoring swaps are performed time-continuously using a Time-Weighted Average Price (TWAP) oracle for liquidity source aggregation and a fair price over time.
The SuperBoring Advantage
- Efficiency and Accessibility: SuperBoring makes DCA more efficient and accessible. By using Superfluid's streaming technology, it allows for continuous and automated investment flows, reducing the need for manual intervention and making investment more seamless and user-friendly.
- Reduced Volatility Impact: The core idea of DCA is to mitigate the risks associated with volatile market conditions. SuperBoring enhances this approach by allowing for more frequent and smaller investments, thereby further reducing the potential impact of sudden market changes.
- Innovation in DeFi: By leveraging Superfluid's groundbreaking streaming technology, SuperBoring stands at the forefront of innovation in decentralized finance, offering a unique approach to cryptocurrency investments.
How it works
SuperBoring has a very unique mechanism allowing it to offer a new and improved DCA experience. The application is built on top of Superfluid's streaming technology, which allows for continuous and automated money flows. This means that users can open a stream of any Super Token and have it automatically split into smaller chunks which will be sold to arbitrageurs at a small discount following Uniswap's Time Weighted Average Price (TWAP).
The following is an interactive diagram illustrates the process. Follow the instructions below to see how it works:
An interactive diagram explaining the mechanism of the SuperBoring app.
- User Opens a Stream: Any user can open a stream of any token to start investing in their destination asset.
- Arbitrage: The stream will be automatically split into smaller "chunks" which will be sold to arbitrageurs (called Liquidity Movers) at a small discount following Uniswap's Time Weighted Average Price (TWAP).
- Set it and forget it: No further actions required from the user. Thanks to Superfluid's Money Streaming, the user will receive the most accurate average price of the asset over the period of the stream.
Is SuperBoring safe?
The SuperBoring app is built on top of the Superfluid Protocol, which is a well-established and secure protocol for streaming money on the blockchain. The smart contracts used by SuperBoring do not hold any funds themselves and are designed to be non-custodial, meaning that users retain control of their funds at all times.
Furthermore, both Superfluid and SuperBoring have undergone extensive security audits to ensure that the platform is safe and secure for users. You can find the links to the audit reports in the Security section.
